Our Story
Raindrop Creamery was inspired by the belief that ice cream should be enjoyed every day.
The name comes from a simple idea. While most people associate ice cream with sunny summer afternoons, our family has always believed that ice cream belongs in every season. Living in Seattle means plenty of rainy days, but we've never let the weather determine when we celebrate life's small moments.
Rain or shine. Summer to winter. Fall to spring. Ice cream anytime.
My love for frozen desserts began long before my professional culinary career. Growing up in Florida, some of my favorite memories were spent on my grandmother's porch making homemade ice cream with my cousins. We would hand churn milk, cream, and sugar over ice and rock salt, patiently waiting. It wasn't fancy, but it taught me that some of life's best moments happen around food, family, and a little bit of patience.
Years later, as a young pantry cook, one of my first kitchen assignments was making mango sorbet. Back then, I had no fancy tools or modern equipment. I learned the old-school way, using fresh fruit, patience, and a simple technique that relied on floating an egg in the fruit puree while adding sweetener to find the perfect sugar level.
That experience sparked a fascination with frozen desserts that followed me throughout my culinary career.
Today, after decades of cooking, learning, and building businesses, I finally have the opportunity to share that passion through an Ice Cream shop of my own. Family owned and operated, we welcome you to Raindrop Creamery.
Every batch is made with the same philosophy that guided me all those years ago: start with great ingredients, respect the process, and create something worth sharing.
